The screw separator successfully separates settlings solids, such as sand from influent of sewage treatment plants and other waste water.
The settling solids are transported as wet bulk and the purified water is returned into the process.
The settled material is transported by a shaftless screw conveyor from the separator.
The screw is only supported by a bearing at the drive-end. The advantage is that larger particles do not jam between the screw and trough.
The screw separators can cope with a maximum capacity of 125 m³/h, dependent on type and the settling velocity of the material to be removed
